I received one back in the 70's,was purchased from the meat-packing district in New York,at about half the present cost. This machine is put together quite hansomely. One should practice on some sacraficile knives to acclumate the settings on the adjustable guide. Belts held up quite well. My speciality are knives and their sharpness, both mechanical, and by hand, using all modalities,in achieving a better edge. At some point, I will purchase another unit to add to my aresenal of equipment. I recommend the HookEye.
